One game will have you fending off against waves of Oni, who are demon samurai, using your Wiimote like a sword. Then the next, you have to do the same, only quicker, under an allotted time. A third game will have you holding off, waiting for a specific one to slash down. Ninja Reflex, and EA, says these are three unique games. Not quite, as you are doing the same movements, again, and again.

This repeats with all the game types. Fishing for Koi, one of the more enjoyable segments, has you following the movements of the fish with your hands then snatching them up at the last moment. Another rather fun activity is where you use the Wiimote to catch buzzing flies, in Karate Kid fashion.

The other modes aren't so fun, and can be frustrating more than enjoyable. Shuriken will have you tossing stars at paper targets like a shooting gallery. Nunchaku is ninja baseball, and Hotaru is simply pushing a button as quickly as possible when an object appears on screen.
