Earlier this year, Vivendi Games announced the third and final installment in the Legend of Spyro trilogy. Entitled Dawn Of The Dragon, it is currently being developed by Etranges Libellules for the Xbox 360, PS3/2, Wii and DS.

“Spyro has grown up a lot since his debut, and players are going to notice advanced gameplay, character design and story lines in Dawn of the Dragon,” said Al Simone, senior vice president, Global Marketing for Sierra Entertainment.

“The game takes some exciting twists and turns – fans of the series and newcomers alike will experience non-stop fun, a renewed sense of intensity and the type of challenging adventure only Spyro can overcome.”
Dawn Of The Dragon will feature a slew of well-known voice actors including Elijah Wood , Gary Oldman, Christina Ricci, Blair Underwood, Mark Hamill and Wayne Brady.

The game's story will see Spyro team up with his ex-nemesis, Cynder, as he faces off against the Dark Master. Two new features include the ability to fly at any time, plus a new drop-in/drop-out” co-operative mode.

We've just uploaded a massive selection of high resolution screenshots from the Xbox 360 version of the game, which you can find in the image gallery above this post.
