The definitive scoop.
What it should really be called is E for Null. What was there was a total lack of anything new. 95% of what was there was at E3, playable, and the rest is almost questionable as to whether it was worth it for media to be there at all.
It wasn’t that E for All was boring, dull, or bad in any way. There just wasn’t anything new. Not in terms of games anyways. Well, nothing save for two minor exceptions.
Metal. Gear. Solid. 4.

Sure, it also had the longest line around (took a good hour wait, when the line was at its shortest), but it was also real live gameplay, for us. Not just some Konami rep playing, and I got a hands-on with it.
I know what you’re thinking. I said two, not one. That’s right, Super Smash Bros. Brawl was also playable, and though I didn’t come out a winner in Nintendo’s all day contest to win a second T-shirt (the first was given just for standing in line patiently), I did manage to get a hands-on with that as well.
Here’s an incomplete and soon-to-be-updated list of articles of what we’ve seen that isn’t already common knowledge:
• Metal Gear Solid 4 Hands on
• Super Smash Bros Brawl Hands on
• Novint Falcon (it’s a weird mouse…just read it)
• SPEEDFREEK (support for 360 analog sticks) (coming soon)
• Guitar Hero 3 Hands On
• Prize Match (coming soon)
• 5 hour Energy (yes, a drink) (coming soon)
• Boomchair
